Fromage frais - healthy or full of sugar?

Found some organice fromaig frais for babies which looked lovely. DS1 loves them of course! however i am not kean on giving him much sugar at all. i dont really understand much about contents of sugar and salt in foods and how much is a lot. Generally speaking are yoghurts quite sugary for babies? someoene said i could try giving him natural yoghurt and add my own fruit but she said would need to be a full fat one. what yoghurt would be best to try that is full fut and organic -anyone know of one? many thanks

I give DS Organic Greek Yogurt. Rachel make them as do Yeo Valley. I then add pureed fruit - all sorts - mango, pear, apple, blueberries, blachberries, strawbs. DS loves them.

I think yoghurt is better than fromage frais from a calcium content point of view - but that may be a myth

Yeo Valley natural yogurt is full fat, organic and absolutely GORGEOUS. It has nothing in it apart from milk either.

DD loves them - goes mad when she spots the pot. Can be a problem in the supermarket that one!

my ds4 just loves greek yoghurt - natural

those yoplait things are vile!

Another vote for Yeo Valley Organic Natural Yoghurt. Just add pureed fruit.

Ditto Daff, Yeo Valley is the best! I gave DD petit filous once and she threw up everywhere! Too sweet for her previously natural diet I think!

General rule is that if it is processed or comes already flavoured avoid it. Not true with everything but if you are not sure give it a wide berth until they are older.

Also the food labelling abd % of daily intakes tend to be for an adult diet or if it states for a Child it is usually over 5 years. If your LO is younger be cautious.
