Kefir yoghurt - yes or no?

Hi all

I asked my DP to get baby yoghurt when he went to the shops this morning and he came back with Yeo Valley Kefir Yoghurt 🤦🏼‍♀️
Not baby yoghurt, just normal kefir yoghurt.

FTM here... is this ok to give to baby or not?

I know just normal yoghurt is fine (ie not baby specific) but not sure about kefir. I've never had it either so no idea why he picked it.

Thanks!

Not 100 percent sure, but I would assume that as long as its full fat and no sweeteners it should be fine?

MKCH · 08/07/2020 17:28

@MoominKitty thank you! That's reassuring. I think it's just because it says fermented I didn't know if that was ok.
(Might taste disgusting but that's another point...!)

Mine prefers sour natural yog to flavoured one's the weirdo 😂.

I'm offering anything full fat, natural and without added sugar or man made sweeteners tbh and so far so good though the above yog and brocilly are current favourites.

Did you try it? What was the verdict?

@MoominKitty
We literally just had it after her lunch and it wasn't a complete disaster...! Some funny faces at first but she soon got used to it and was opening her mouth for the next spoonful.
I'm doing the same really - trying to get through my frozen stash of butternut squash, potato, green beans, courgette, sweet potato, cauliflower.....! And then we might move onto some more interesting combinations!

So far carrot, broc, potato, sweet potato peas and cabbage are a hit.

Swead and plain cauliflower are a huge no no lol.

He likes all fruit, cheese, yog and cake (thanks nanny haha).

I love when they do the open mouth thibg they look so cute!
