Confused about BLW

Just after a bit of advice about BLW i am a confused FTM.
I hear lots of people saying baby just has a bit of what the adults are having. Great I thought at first but then the more thinking the more problems i’m finding. Like if i make spag bol, cottage pie, tomato sauce I would add a stock cube would this then be classed as too salty for the baby?!
Do I need to steam fresh veg every day?! Can i do some carrots/broccoli and keep them in the fridge?! How long would they last?! Do i need to reheat them before serving?!
Do I need a baby weaning cookbook?! Any recommendations?

There are loads of Instagram accounts. Try Wean in 15 and Baby Led Weaning. And frozen veg is much quicker than fresh!

It's 10 years ago since I did BLW but found the Gill Rapley book brilliant. You can take a portion out for baby then add salt/stick cube for the adults.
I think I gave veg most days-make sure it's big enough pieces so your baby can grasp them. Roast dinners are good as the baby can have a try of a few different things. Once we got going I found it quite easy.

You can buy low salt stock cubes and add salt at the table if you need it in your food.

Agee that the Gill Ripley cookbook is a good one Smile

Just use no salt, or low salt stock cubes when cooking, and then add it to the adults food at the table.

If you need cooking inspiration, then buy an adult cookery book that appeals, but honestly otherwise you don't need to bother. Just cook healthy food for the whole family, and if you think you need more veg in your diets then include that. It makes it a bit easier for the baby if you use larger pasta shapes than tiny ones, but in general you just let them get on with it

I did baby led weaning . You are right , adult food is much too salty for a baby . I had to change my diet quite a bit .

In the beginning our baby barely ate enough to worry . But by 8 months he was eating well enough I had to be more strict with salt.

We do hello fresh 5 nights a week and I would pick the meals with 1-2g of salt or less and even then I swapped out the stock cubes they provided with Kallo low salt stock cubes . My husband loves to bake and made no salt bread . And we stopped adding salt to meals completely.

Now that my little one is 14 months we have relaxed a bit but I have to say my diet is a lot healthier still 😝
