How did you wean your baby?

So mum DS is 6 months old and have been weaning him a few weeks and just interested to see how others do it?

My intentions were baby rice then all the vegetables as a puree before moving on to the sweet fruits however he refused to be soon fed so ended up just giving him finger foods such as banana, orange, watermelon which he feeds himself and some peas and sweetcorn etc which we help him pop in his mouth.

There is probably no right or wrong way but wanted to see how others are doing it?

We did Baby-Led-Weaning, but I have no bones with either method. All my siblings did BLW with theirs so it was what I was used to seeing.
Started with offering different tastes and textures, now at 13 months DD has three meals and two snacks a day. She'll try anything but makes it clear if she isn't keen Grin

We did a mostly baby led weaning approach, but used pouches or jars for convenience occasionally. He just used to get a bit of whatever we were having. I have never once cooked him a special meal and the lazy part of me is thrilled with that.

My DS is 6 months now and we are doing BLW. started off with spears of brocolli, cauliflower, carrot, cucumber, avacado then toast then banana. Just adding things in really.

I was always scared of BLW incase he choked but looks like that's the approach we will take as he hates spoon feeding. I havnt cooker him proper meals just easy things like peas etc but maybe I will offer him what were eating for ease and so he eats more of a variety.
