Chewing towels

I just want to check this is normal.

blw my son, we're having great fun with it, he's trying everything I give him (by trying I mean handling)

He absolutely hates the chair we got him, he had a bumbo and rocked it until he'd put it on its side, so we got him another one which is basically a mini highchair, he hates that too and leans to the side in the same way he did the bumbo.

So we now sit him on the sofa/floor on top of a towel, and he's started to pull on that and put it in his mouth to chew, I know it's normal for babies to chew on comfort blankets etc, is it the same for towels and will it cause any damage? I can't find anything online at all.

My son used to chew things like towels and flannels when he was teething, I used to put a damp flannel on the freezer for him to chew.

Ahhh hadn't thought of the teething connection, they're there under the gums but not yet erupted, thank you 😁

Frozen flannels are great for teething! Don't worry about it, he doesn't know the difference between a blanket and a towel.
