Poo changes since weaning

I apologise in advance for the poo talk, but we are probably all obsessed with poo as parents!! I have been introducing my baby to different foods over the last few weeks and he has taken to it like a duck to water. He loves his morning porridge and fruit, and then some kind of veggies and fruit at lunch too. I also make sure to give him a few sips of water with his meals. However I am a bit worried about his poo! He was originally FF, so had the usual type of formula poo's before we weaned him but now his poos are a LOT more solid. He doesn't cry when he does them, or look particularly troubled - in fact he looks the same as he always has when pooing. However they are usually the texture of play dough, barely leaving any "mess" behind. They are not hard or dry, and he usually goes once a day. What should baby poo look like once on a decent amount of solids? Should I expect more "formed" poos, or should they still be more messy like before? I don't want to worry unnecessarily if this is what I should be expecting! Thanks Smile

Sounds fine. As long as they arent hard and dry its ok

Sounds like a good poo! It used to fascinate me what different foods did to poo.

@April45 that is so reassuring!! I became so used to the old formula poo, this felt like such a shock! At least I know what to expect now, and can watch with fascination the different changes going forward Grin
