Weaning baby crying at night

Hiya everyone,

This is my first time posting and I'm really hoping for some advice. We started weaning at around 5 months and now my daughter is 6 1/2 months. We started early because she was very interested in our food but it's only the last few weeks she has been walking up at around 3 every morning screaming sometimes breastfeeding helps but not always and often her tummy feels hard. She can cry for 2 hours or longer but I'm really not sure how to help or what the problem is. Should I still be breastfeeding at night? Is the food too much? Anyone else go through the same and if so how long did it last coz I have felt like a zombie for weeks now and just don't know how much longer I can survive on this little sleep.. Any ideas or suggestions of things to try would be appreciated :) thanks

Of course you should still be feeding at night. At that age just bf in demand.
Have you tried bicycle legs or rubbing their tummy in clockwise circles?

While she is still getting used to the idea of eating, she only needs a few mouthfuls. When you start giving them solids, they’re still getting most of their valuable nutrients from milk. So weaning at first is just about having fun, learning and experimentation
Wait a full 30 minutes after feeding any solids before lying her down.
It’s recommend that if you’re giving a food for the first time, that you give it earlier in the day so you can see any reaction she may be having.
