DD won't take any fluids

Since we started weaning DD her milk intake has gone down significantly and we're struggling to get her to take any fluids, she's only really interested in eating solids now.

I've tried water, juice, water with a tiny amount of cordial in. I've tried giving it her in a bottle, a sippy cup, a normal cup, the bottle the juice comes in, even gone as far as trying to give it her on a spoon or in a syringe. She will just spit it out or take a tiny amount that's no where near enough.

We've been weaning her about 2/3 weeks now and I've spoken to my health visitor who has given no advice or help.

Does anyone have any advice on how I can get her to increase her fluid intake? I thought she just needed time to get used to it but she's obviously not so far and it's quite concerning she's not drinking as much as she should.

With regards to milk intake she was previously having 30/32oz a day (formula) but now has around 20 at most. The least she's ever had so far is 10oz Sad

You get a lot of water from food anyway. Can you give foods with milk or lots of water in? Weetabix, porridge, oranges, tomatoes etc? What are her nappies like? DS is poor at drinking from a bottle or cup. He likes it but doesn't really take anything. He is breastfed and feeding a bit less frequently, but obviously I don't know how much. He still has wet nappies though so I'm not too worried.

Have you noticed any change in her nappies? If she's still having lots of wet and dirty nappies I wouldn't really worry to be honest.

I bf both of mine so have never had any idea how much liquid they were taking on board. As long as nappy output was good and they seemed contented, happy and alert I've assumed they're getting what they need.

I'd continue to offer water in a free flow cup with meals and give water filled food where you can (eg cucumber). My HV always said that some babies just really take to food and to just go with it!
