My lo is 11 months and has a a bottle when waking mid morning mid afternoon and bedtime bottle. I have dropped mid morning feed a week ago. Hes was reliably waking at 5.30 but has woken up at 3 4 and 5 within last week and first 2 he only settled with a small bottle. I dont no what to do. He eats 3 meals happierly. Thanks

12 months is peak age for a sleep regression. I bf dd but she was still having morning, evening and maybe 2/3 feeds during the day at this age. She didn’t drop her feeds till she was 2.3 so I wouldn’t worry too much if he’s eating well thought the day.

I’d look into getting an open cup or free flow sippy when he turns 1 though, as bottles are bad for teeth and that’s the advised time to make the switch.

Does he have a comforter to go to bed with?

Yeah he has a bottle then stories thrn chats himself to sleep at bed time. Very rarely falls asleep on the bottle. I guess i just dont no how to get him back to sleep at 3am after an hour awake without milk but he doesnt need it as hasnt had it for 2 months. I bought a 360 cup yesterday. Do u think i should bring back mid morning feed could that be what's causing wakes? My 3 year old started dropping bottles at 11 months and off bottles by 14 months.

My lo is 7 months and we have just gone down to 3 bottles, 7am, 3pm and 7pm.

I think ideally they want you down to 1 bottle before switching on to cows milk but do what is right for your baby x

The latest NHS recommendation for 10-12 month old babies is around 400mls of milk a day but it is just a guideline, not a minimum/maximum requirement:

www.nhs.uk/start4life/weaning/what-to-feed-your-baby/10-12-months/#anchor-tabs

If your baby has first infant formula, they may need around 400ml per day, but just use this as a guide.
