Which fruits fed raw and which steamed?

DS is just six months, so far he's had some kendamil porridge and some homemade carrot puree, loved both. I've got some ripe apricots and peaches and MIL just gave me some apples from her tree. I know at this stage I will have to peel and steam apples and give as finger foods or mash them up, but what about other fruits? Berries I'm assuming can be mashed or pureed raw, banana he can probably just gum away at, same as avocado, but what about peaches, plums, apricots etc? As I type this he's sucking on a piece of steamed tenderstem broccoli but not doing it too much damage, he's still completely toothless.

I'm aiming for a mix of mash/purees and BLW, he already grabs his porridge spoon and I'm fine with him having a go , I'm happy to be led by him rather than being wedded to a particular method.

Any tips appreciated!

If the apricots and peaches are ripe as you say they are, they’ll be fine without being steamed. He needs to be able to get a grip on them without them being too slippery in his hands! I have my LO ripe pear and it kept slipping away!
Kiwi is a good first fruit and I’d cut it into quarters and provide with skin on (to prevent slipping) to allow LO to grate out the flesh with teeth then remove peel.

I don’t think I ever steamed fruit. My son didn’t have teeth til he was 13 months and just gummed everything.

I did a lot of sweet potato mashed.

Is it worth getting a steamer or just use a colander over a pan? I use microwave bags and put fresh veg in to steam for me and DH, but not sure if that's ok nutrient wise for DS. I've clearly not done this before....

Not sure where you live to just pick an apple from a tree at this time of the year, but apples are nice made into applesauce without any added sugar. The same with pears.
Bananas can be poached to become softer. Mangoes are a good option as well. Let a papaya ripe out of the fridge.
Other fruits are watermelon, melon, grapes suit into very tiny pieces, mandarines, lychees

It really depends on what fruit is in season. And use a small pot instead of the microwave so the released juice/sugar from the cooking will give more flavour to the fruit.
I used to cook the apple/pear in 1 or 2 com of water then blend everything, water included, to make it smooth and creamy.

You should however focus more on the veggies to avoid developing a preference for sweet food. I see you are giving broccoli, asparagus given as a whole is a good option too as he will easily eat the top and such a bit on the hard bit.
Make sure to try some soups as well. Soups are a main food in France, Italy and Spain and offer the opportunity to introduce many vegetables , from a basic carrot-pumpkin to a minestrone .

IF you slice a zucchini a let it cook under the oven grill with a bit of olive oil, it is a perfect introduction for weaning.

I've never cooked fruits for either of mine. They are perfectly capable of eating them raw from 6 months. Even apples are fine. Just slice them think and perhaps remove the peel initially.

Thanks all, sorry I wasn't clear the apples are frozen from the last crop so already chopped and cored I'll just defrost, the skin should come off fairly easily and I'll try husk cooking then down with a bit of water. The rest is fresh. He had a piece of mango this morning and wasn't a fan, but it's not my favourite fruit either. He likes cucumber, avocado and broccoli best so far, obviously more of a savoury fan! We're having sweet potato with dinner so I'll give him some of that tomorrow, DH is working late today and am ready after DS is on bed. I think I expected to have to convince him to try things but he seems game.
