Ideas for food to take on day out?

We will be having breakfast at home, but lunch and dinner we will be out.
What sort of foods can I take that wont need warming up, are easy to eat in a pushchair and not too messy?
I was thinking omelette fingers and a tuna sandwich (with fruit as snacks), but not sure if cold omelette would be nice.

Ds 9m old, mix of finger foods and spoon fed usually. Tends to eat less when having finger foods as prefers to play with it (then fusses he's hungry and wants milk).

A banana?

Meyouandbabytoo · 22/02/2019 09:53

He does like banana. Prefers it mashed and fed to him though (he bites off too much and makes himself sick if left to self feed).

I don't really know why I can't think of anything to take, he eats 3 meals a day at home so I should have plenty of ideas but my mind is blank.

Baked salmon, cooked and cut in to fist sized pieces.
Acacado but might be messy
Strawberries
Boiled eggs - sliced
Sausage
Peanut butter sandwich on thin bread cut in to fingers?
Savoury muffins

Thank you all.

The salmon and pasta would be good for a meal, he eats that sort of thing normally. I could do it like a "pasta salad" if he would be having it cold I guess.

He makes a lot of mess with PB sandwiches, mushes them up and it gets everywhere.

If he’s spoon fed usually go take Ella’s and a spoon. Fruit, breadsticks and you’re sorted.

I often do cheese cubes and breadsticks or crackers with cucumber sticks, plus a yogurt pouch (the ella’s kitchen ones). Pasta salad is also a good option. Then various snacks, oaty bars, grapes, other fruit. It’s really hard though in colder weather to find things to pack unless you’ll be sitting down somewhere warm to eat. Cucumber sticks are cold outside on little fingers.
