Evening all!
Doing an online food shop and buying some Oatly for cmpa one year old. He has been having the original blue carton one with his snacks which his dietician is happy with.
May I ask what the barista one is all about please? Which one would be best?
Thank you!

The barista one has added fat, its great for cooking with ie Yorkshire puddings. Also great in porridge. Don't know about for weaning as that has changed a lot since I weaned but at one most babies can have most things I think. Good luck

Thank you! Surely then the added fats will be better for him?

I've always used barista for my CMPA DS. Was advised that this was closest to blue top milk and best.

I found a 'full fat' oatly the other day
Slightly darker blue than the normal one

Barista (long-life) and the fresh Whole Milk Oatly are closest in composition to cows milk. If I can only get the blue long-life Oatly then I mix it with a carton of fresh or long-life Oatly Cream to increase the fat content. Avoid the long-life brown Organic Oatly as it doesn't have added calcium.

Barista is full fat and foams in coffee. Great for cooking like others have said. I was advised to use barista for my CMPA baby. I think oatly have rebranded and are phasing out the brown barista carton for a dark blue one which looks annoyingly like the semi skimmed oatly.

I feel awful now as I’ve been giving him the original :( I’ll get a few cartons of the barista in. It is only for his snacks, he has water with meals and formula at bedtime and in the morning.
Thank you for your help!

Really don't feel awful! The fat is just rapeseed oil added to it. The Barista just has even more of the oil in it! I buy blue original Oatly for my son. It's higher in calories/fat and has less additives than other milk alternatives and tastes much nicer. However I'm not going to pay extra for barista when I'm quite capable of feeding my son a range of other healthy fats eg avocado, nut butter, hummus, tinned fish in oil, eggs etc.
