How to manage weaning BF baby

My DS is currently 11weeks old and I'm EBF him and plan to do so until he's at least 6 months.

Then my plan is to start giving him food and reduce the feeds over perhaps a course of a month or so? Is that how people do it?

Is it then possible to feed him BF only in mornings and evenings or would my milk supply dry up? I'll be at work then and I don't want to express at work.

He will still need milk feeds throughout the day and night at 6 months. So you don't have to bf him, necessarily, but you'll have to offer a sizeable amount of milk in a bottle or cup to replace milk feeds.

Mine is 11 months and bf and I've only been able to start cutting down milk feeds now (trying to replace with a cup of milk, but not that successfully). He still feeds morning and bedtime, plus at least once or twice during the day (and then as needed during the night).

Your supply will be relatively established then, but again, you shouldn't be actively cutting milk feeds at 6 months. It will happen on it's own, but probably not before about 9 months. But if you want to introduce a bottle of milk instead, then that's an option. They don't really eat much food for the first few months though to get the bulk of their calories that way.

You can do all the breastfeeds when you're at home.
