Pudding ideas for one year old CMPA

Morning all!
I’m after pudding ideas for my one year old please. He has a diagnosed milk allergy and severe reflux which he is on medication for.
Currently he will have koko yoghurt sometimes with fruit purée, alpro custard, alpro vanilla yoghurt, banana (unless he’s had one for his snack), Cheerios (again unless he’s had this already for his snack). I want easy ideas as I’m hopeless at cooking! I’ve made him cakes before.
Thank you all!

We just do yoghurts (tesco one soya yoghurt) and/or fruit as standard puddings. Fruits - apple, berries, pears or kiwi are favourites. Once a week or so DD might have ice cream (Swedish glacé), cake or a Bourbon biscuit.

DD is 2.5 yrs and trust be it’s easier to try and limit puddings and sugar now rather than later.

He loves pear and banana! Maybe I’ll just stick to what I’m doing then, was worried he may be getting fed up.

I’m trying to reduce the amount of soya he has as apparently its bad for male hormones?

I don’t know any about that sorry. I find Facebook vegan groups a good place to ask questions about children and non dairy options.

Stewed or raw fruit.
Birds custard powder in a tin used to be dairy free. I made that with oat milk.
Crumble topping made with dairy free margarine.

Mixing those gave fruit, crumble, fruit and custard. Occasional biscuit or cake. Sorted for a week!
And adding a bit of cocoa powder to the custard powder occasionally gave the favourite of bananas and chocolate custard!
Jelly is dairy free too.

We did puddings as a way to get calories in, as low weight too.

I’ve got some birds custard in the cupboard. I tried making it a few weeks back with his formula milk but it went into a blobby mess! I haven’t tried making it with oatley milk yet so I’ll give that a go :)
Hadn’t thought of crumble, that’s a good idea thank you! That’s what I’m trying to do, bulk him up! It’s rare for him to have the recommended amount of formula each day but the dietician is happy that he’s getting a good mix of foods so says that it isn’t a problem. His specialist has also agreed with this too.

I think there is a yoghurt made with coconut, Koko? It's nice

PinkDaydreams · 08/01/2019 13:26

Yes that’s the koko yoghurt that he has 😊

Oh sorry!🙈didn't see that! I make semolina with soya milk, but you could easily make it with another milk and then a few drops vanilla essence instead of sugar. It's quite nice!

mindutopia · 10/01/2019 12:04

Fruit. We’ve never really done anything but yogurt or fruit for pudding unless it’s a special occasion. Apple or pear slices, half a plum, sliced grapes or blueberries, a satsuma, etc.

You can get mini chocolate puddings made by collaborative they are coconut not soya my baby likes them
Neocate spoon can be prescribed and you can make it into a sort of yogurt if you mix fruit purée into it

WisestIsShe · 13/01/2019 19:36

How about jelly with fruit in?

PinkDaydreams · 13/01/2019 20:20

I asked his specialist to prescribe some neocate spoon but she said she’d never heard of it!! Honestly she’s useless!
I’m seeing his dietician in a few weeks (she’s not much use either).
I tried him with some milk jelly the other day but he wasn’t too keen. I tried it and it tasted so chemically, I can understand why he didn’t like it! I’ll try a different brand sugar free jelly instead and add fruit as suggested, thank you Smile
I’ve seen those chocolate puddings, are they suitable for little ones? He’s one. I’m worried about the sugar content.
