Hey
My little girl will be 8 months at the end of this month and this is what she eats

B - baby porridge then fingers of toast
D & T - I tend to give her pouches if what we are eating isn't really suitable,
But I feel like pouches are ok for convienience but not for when we are at home. Should I just start her with what we eat??
Thanks

At 8 months my dd ate
Toast for breakfast
Tuna/veg/potato/mash combo etc for lunch
Whatever we ate for dinner, so chicken fajitas, chicken curry/madras, spag bol, chilli, lasagne, enchiladas, roast etc

Mine’s just turned 9 months but yesterday he had:

B: toast with apple slices
L: pasta w meatballs and sauce (I get the Annabel Karmel meals and divide into small portions and then freeze because he doesn’t eat much), a cherry tomato too
S: Ella’s Kitchen fruit pouch
D: Lentil soup with bread/butter

Today he’s having,

B: porridge with a bit of grated apple, apple slices
L: more of the pasta and meatballs from yesterday and cucumber
S: probably an oaty bar and a bit of milk (he’s bf but I give him small amounts of milk or formula in a cup as a snack)
D: bit of chicken and rice soup with bread and butter

I find lunch really hard. I usually just eat whatever I have to hand, which means I need to make him something different, or if we’re out we need to actually go to a cafe (too cold now for picnics). Dinner is easier though as I make one meal for everyone. We have a 5 year old so already used to making healthy meals from scratch so whatever we’re having is usually fine for him too. We’ve only added in the snack in the past couple weeks as he dropped a bit on his centiles so I wanted to make sure he was eating plenty.

Don't fret you are doing well, pouches are fine, just get a whole variety of flavours, pop some steamed vegetables and porridge in front of DC. My children are older now and I can't believe how much anguish I went through at mealtimes, they eat everything now apart from okra and brussel sprouts (but I can't blame them, both are vile). Just enjoy hanging out with them. Smile
