Dropping bottle?

Little one is just over 9 months old and has CMPA which he is under a specialist, a dietician and awaiting allergy testing.
He has 6oz milk when he wakes, breakfast an hour later is cereal made with 4/5 oz formula milk, some fruit and water, lunch at 12pm again with water, I always give him some mash made with 1oz of his milk. Bottle at 3pm, which I’m struggling to get him to have. He will have between half an ounce to 3oz. Then tea is at 4.30, again with fruit and water. Bedtime bottle at about 6.30pm, anything between 2-6oz.
Before his lunch and tea he will have a couple of rice cakes or carrot puffs whilst I’m heating it up.
What I’m wondering is if I should replace the bottle at 3pm with a snack and some water? Maybe small bowl of cereal so that he’s still getting his formula?
Dietician and specialist are happy with his food and what he’s having, having a good mix of veg/fruit/meat/fish/pulses. I asked the other day about multivitamins and milk intake and she’s happy. She didn’t give me any guidance though with regards to this 3pm bottle.
Thank you all!

It’s absolutely fine to drop the 3pm bottle at 10 months. Try LO with raw veg with hummus. Apple slices spread with smooth nut butter. Scottish oatcake spread with Violife Cream Cheese and cut up grapes. A crumpet spread with violite. A homemade lolly. Dried figs are high in calcium and get them using their mouth muscles. You can make Blueberry Pancakes with an alternative milk and they freeze well. Mini Frittata.

At this age dropping some milk feeds in favour of solids is to be encouraged Smile

It's fine to drop the 3pm feed - it's sounds like he's dropping it himself anyway. You don't need to replace it with milky cereal, just a small snack and a drink. As the pp said, around this age they gradually start to cut down their milk intake and gradually increase the amount of solids they take accordingly.

@JiltedJohnsJulie I was actually thinking you’d reply! You are the weaning guru of mumsnet!! Thank you to you and @NannyR so much!
He loves violife cream cheese, the frittata looks yum, he’s been having egg the last few days and no allergic reaction which I’m so happy about! Figs, fab, I don’t know why I hadn’t thought of those as he loves prunes!

Well, tried him with some hummus and unfortunately he’s had an allergic reaction to it, I’m presuming it’s the sesame seeds in it. Never mind, there’s plenty of other foods he can try instead.

That’s a shame as the chickpeas are high in calcium Sad
