Hi,
I have a 7 mo DS. I have found weaning really really hard so far and truly have no idea what I am doing He will eat most pureed veg and fruit, custard and rice pudding, yogurts, weetabix etc.

However, for the past few days, he has hardly eaten anything. He will accept a couple of spoonfuls then turn his head and purse his lips. I have tried giving him a break, sips of water, changing the food to something else etc but he is just not interested. Twice now, he has started screaming and become hysterical for no reason I can see, to the point yesterday where he cried so much he was sick all down me

I don't know what I am doing wrong. I am so upset by it. We had a really good couple of days last week when he ate 3 good meals during the day and now we are the total opposite.

Should i cut his milk down? He is drinking about 18 oz during the day at the moment and waking once in the night and usually drinking about another 7 oz then. I have tried to cut it down today. He only had 2 oz for breakfast then refused the solids, then had 4 oz mid morning with half a biscuit. He has just refused his lunch.

Please help me. We are both getting so stressed out by this.

Is it possible he just isn't feeling well? eating is one of the first things affected if they are off colour.

I wouldn't cut his milk down if he needs it.
Could he be teething?,usually puts babies off their food.

don't cut back milk, just let him get on with drinking as much as he wants. dd used to go right off food just before she cut a tooth, perhaps it is that? don't worry about it, milk's not going to do him any harm.

I'm not sure, I think his teeth are perhaps troubling him, the second one has come through last week and the gum has split for the first top one. However, he is his jolly self the rest of the time.

sorry x posts thank you for replying so quickly.

Suspect teeth then. It wasn't this bad with the first tooth though? I am beginning to think it is my cooking...
