Adult and baby cookbook?

Is there such a thing as an adult and baby cookbook? I'm looking for recipes I can cook for adults which have recommendations for how to adapt for babies, e.g. they only get certain bits blended up etc.

Just cook what you'd normally eat and serve it, no need to cook something different to usual or blend/purée anything Smile

I'm worried about the amount of salt and sugar in my food. I can't give a six month old frozen pizza or curry out of a jar. I'm looking for recipes that are safe for baby to eat.

Baby led weaning cookbook

River Cottage Baby & toddler cookbook

The River Cottage Baby & Toddler cookbook - has a small section on purées but is mainly focussed on meals for the whole family and gives advice on how to adapt for young babies etc. Highly recommend!

Another vote for the River Cottage one. It's full of recipes that are great for all the family.

I make curry with coconut milk and the non hot spices and bought a chilli grinder for my own plate. I chopped everything into chip shapes as theyre easier to hold.

@CanaBanana

You can though, just make sure there's some fresh stuff included in the diet as well!

You need to consider the amount of salt/sugar across a week, not a meal. Also, the amounts of food a baby eats are pretty small; it appears they prefer dropping it on the floor, in the high chair, rubbing it in their hair...Grin

I make pizza too. Mix equal amounts of flour and natural yoghurt. Use baking powder too if you use plain flour.
Use more flour to knead and roll out then bake briefly on an oiled tray for a few minutes each side then top and bake on 200 degrees.
The dough freezes raw and you can also pre bake some bases and freeze and top from frozen. I make sauce out of roasted tomatoes, peppers, carrots and onions and freeze in little pots. Its nice as a pasta sauce too.

Another vote for river cottage book. Particularly the rice pudding :)

DD has been eating takeaway and tins and jars from about 9 months. You just balance it out and after a while you get used to it.
