Ice cubes?

An Ella's kitchen chart I have and couple of other weaning books/sites I have read say to give baby ice cubes. Does anyone do this and if so how?? My LO doesn't like to touch them as they're cold and when she does they just slip out of her hands. She's very good with drinking her water but I just don't get why they recommend it?! And if I went by the picture it would be 9-12 a day?! Confused

Ice cubes?

Isn’t it referring to freezing purée food into ice cubes? You freeze them then defrost for meals -it certainly was 15 years ago when I weaned children.

Oh yes silly me that would make sense! Haha! My poor daughter! Grin

Cubes of ice would be a chocking risk, best not to (and no they won't melt quick enough if they get stuck in the throat)

But you can freeze puree in an ice cube tray and defrost a few cubes at a time to serve so just the right as mount can be defrosted/served.

Or look up bag led weaning 😉
