Can I give 6 month baby breakfast before milk?

My daughter has been on solids for a little while now, currently on 2 meals a day, breakfast and dinner.

For the past week when she's waking and she will only take an ounce of bottle in the morning and it can take a while before she will go near her bottle again. I have been trying to do it so she has her bottle first then around 8ish she'll have breakfast or early depending when she wakes up...

The other day tho my husband gave her breakfast first but then she wouldn't take a bottle for a few hours so I was worried that she wouldn't have enough milk that day (She made up for it)

So what I'm asking, how would you do it? Wait till she's finished her morning bottle before breakfast? Let her drink some then breakfast and rest of bottle after or breakfast then give her bottle when she wants it?

I'd probably let her just have that ounce or whatever and then offer a small breakfast with some milk in it. Cereal...add milk to her porridge for example.

Can you give Weetabix or cereal for breakfast and add the formula milk to that?

I’d give her an ounce if that’s all she will drink and then let her have breakfast an hour or so later.

I wouldn’t be offering her any more solids yet either. The current advice to to move to offering solids 3 times a day between 8 and 9 months. This is to stop them having too many solids and not drinking enough milk Smile

I’d offer the bottle, let her have what she wants then give her a breakfast made using her milk like porridge or weetabix to ensure she’s getting enough.

Offer bits of high water foods like melon, cucumber, veg etc too.
