Holiday foods?

Hi currently on holiday in Cornwall with my 7 month old. We had a slow start with weaning and she's only just started showing an interest in food. However, now we're away I'm struggling to find healthy nutritious foods to give her and end up relying on things like the Ella kitchen puffs etc which I don't mind in moderation but feel like she's living on them this week. What foods do you give when in holiday? I find lunches particularly hard when we're out and about and we're having picnics or just stopping for a cream tea/fish and chips etc. I'm doing a mixture of finger foods and purees so hit me with any ideas before my daughter gets addicted to all thos processed stuff! 😂

I should add. We ate self catering so have a small kitchen but it's not the greatest or best equipped. Nor do I want to spend my holiday doing lots of cooking!

Ella’s Kitchen do purée pouches of actual meals, I’d do those instead of the crisp puff snacks if you’re out and about a lot. Then also a few bits off your plate to self feed if you’re having something suitable.

Lunchtime - bread, full fat cream cheese. Cut crusts off and either feed to baby in little chunks or let them eat.
Or if you have a cool bag, egg and whole milk in the microwave, cook for a minute and then mash up, scrambled egg ready to go.
A pear, with a peeler and knofe- give them chunks to bite, they melt in the mouth, perfect.
Mine loves olives and feta too, you can buy little plastic cartons of.
That’s what we do for lunch, Plus some melty puffs and rice cakes for finger foods.
Haven’t used many Ella’s pouches but when I do she loves them

Oh also mine loves tuna. Hard boiled egg and tuna mashed up together?

Rice cakes and hummus or full fat Philadelphia are my go to options. Or mushed up sweet potato. Cucumber sticks. Ella's pouches got me through a week in Greece.

Thanks. Some ideas here I hadn't thought of. We have been doing pouches too but sometimes she won't take them and only wants finger foods! She likes to be independent! She just won't touch cucumber for some reason that's the one thing I did bring with me! 🙄 Off to get rice cakes and olives! 😁

She can just eat what you eat really (minus the chippy perhaps). Sandwiches if you’re having a picnic or bits of ham or cheese and bread. Rice cakes with hummus. Plain pasta is easy to take with you if you’re eating out. Veg of all sorts, steamed broccoli, french beans, carrot sticks. We also did a lot of stone fruit (plums, nectarines, etc), just cut in half and remove stone. Unless it’s a spicy curry though, you probably can find bits of your meal are just fine though.
