Breastfeeding and returning to work question

I'm a teacher and will be returning to work three days a week from September when my baby will turn one. I want to keep breast feeding him, will that be possible if I'm not expressing during working hours?
Ideally I'd like to be feeding him in the morning and in the evening, is that easy to achieve?
Also, should I be trying to feed him less in the run up to September to prepare him for it, or should I expect him to want to feed less by then anyway?

I'd appreciate any advice, it's making mes not anxious. Thank you.

I went back to work when my DS was only 6 months old and was really worried about this.

They adapt a lot in the first year, I found that he naturally reduced feeding times before I went back anyway. At 5 months he still fed every 2 hours but at 6 months he only fed a.m. midday and pm & night.

My son preferred solids in the end and wasn’t bothered about feeding except before bedtime and through the night Hmm so I didn’t even express in the end.

At age 1 they don’t actually need breast milk so I think it will work out fine. I found it so much better just feeding not expressing ( which I tried and hated from about 2-4m) and my supply was unaffected.

You’ll be absolutely fine, i’ve Managed with both dcs despite working a mixture of days and nights.
Their needs change very quickly and you’ll find feeds just naturally reduce. I have always fed in the afternoons when i’ve been on days off when I returned to work initially.

You'll be fine, I went back after 6 months but BF until about 20 months. Mornings, evenings and nights, at weekends too until she stopped daytime feeds. BF is super clever and your supply adapts.

Super- thank you all. So I just keep doing what I'm doing and don't make any changes for now

I've done this twice and it was absolutely fine, both the baby and my supply adjusted each time without a hitch. They had their meals, nursery gave them cows milk in a cup and they kept their morning and evening breastfeeds as much for snuggles and bonding as anything else. It didn't take any particular planning, everybody just went with the flow.

Just be ready to express at work for comfort if you need to

I went back when dd was 11 months old on 12.5 hour shifts so away from her for 14 hours.
I fed her before and after. I did get mastitis the first week back but I'd left her for longer periods in the run up. The doctor said I was dehydrated which was why I'd got mastitis because I'd missed my breaks.
I left her overnights a few times in the run up to "prepare" myself. It was not as bad as I thought it was going to be in the end.

I have just gone back to work (four weeks ago) I work two fairly long days a week. DD is one and still bf regularly so I was worried and thought I would need to get her to cut down feeds. Anyway she's been fine she just has water in a sippy cup at nursery along with her meals. I do express just once a day normally on my lunch break for comfort. The rest of the week when I'm back at home she feeds regularly again.

Yes I did it with my first and intend to do same with current baby. DS was 13 months when I went back to work and I continued BF until he was 2 years 3 months. I worked 4 days a week. He just had water and food when I wasn't there.
