Dropping milk feeds

I thought I was doing everything right but I just read my 13 month old doesn't need her bedtime milk.
I dropped bottles at 12 months and she has a 8oz free flow tippee cup of cows milk when she wakes and before bed but apparently this is too much. She has her milk around 7am and breakfast at 9am (We keep this routine for nursery) and dinner between 4.30pm -5pm and bedtime bottle between 6.30pm-7pm.
Should I drop both these feeds? One feed? How did you do it? How do you suggest I do it?
Ps. My daughter is very easy going and has never really had a problem with a change of routine.

Who says the milk isn't required? If she eats and sleeps well then I'd leave things as they are. I'm sure mine had a cup of milk before bed for ages.

Like demented I’d like to know where you’ve read that too OP Smile

This is the actual quote on the post - Once your baby is 12 months old, she no longer needs a bedtime milk feed, but dropping this feed can take a bit of work, as it’s often a part of her sleep routine. Make sure you have a good, calming bedtime routine in place if you want to drop this feed, offering a cup of milk or a milky supper like porridge instead of a bottle or breastfeed.

My 4 year old still has milk before bed. Its been in a cup since she was about 16 months. But no plans to stop it.

But that quote says: offering a cup of milk or a milky supper like porridge instead of a bottle or breastfeed.

Is it not saying to break away from a feed that may be associated with sleep but you can give a drink from a cup instead (which is what you already do)

I think they still need 12oz milk a day. So long as you brush teeth after the milk it's fine.

My DD naturally dropped her bedtime milk feed somewhere between 14 and 15 mo. Just gradually started drinking less and less until it was barely worth bothering with. If you think she needs/wants it still I would carry on giving it to her.

The one change we did make though around the same time was we moved it to before her bath so we could brush her teeth in the bath afterwards and I think the slight change in routine was a big trigger for her deciding it wasn't worth sitting still for anymore.
