No poo and refusing food after rotavirus

My 9 mo was doing OKish with weaning but last week was hospitalised with rotavirus. She was BF only for three days and since then has pretty much only accepted fruit puree and a few toast fingers, aside from one decent breakfast of weetabix.
She had very loose stools until Saturday, as the bug got out of her system (and she lost 400g in a week!), but has not had a poo since Saturday lunchtime.
Is this normal after a bad tummy bug? She's usually an every other day girl at the least.

Poor little mite. Does she till seem uncomfortable?

SparkleHorse82 · 02/05/2018 20:27

Not really, no. She's had a bit of wind, but nothing too aggressive. I thought I saw her pushing this afternoon but she hadn't been when I checked her nappy. If she's like that again tomorrow I think I'll take her to the dr on Friday. She's not taking much in the way of solids but i've given her prune puree and it hasn't made any difference

Definitely take her to the doctor - but when DS1 had rota (or similar) when he was 1, he was superficially OK about a week later, but really wasn't right for a good month. He was a 2-3 times a day pooer, but it did take time to get back to normal again.

unlike DP and me who had 24 hours of hell each and were then back to normal within a week.

Is she still having plenty of BFs OP?

SparkleHorse82 · 02/05/2018 20:41

Yes she's still BFing really regularly and is well hydrated - good wet nappies etc. She seems back to her old self except for the poo and her reaction to solids.

Ugh, a month! She lost so much weight I'm keen her for her to get cracking eating again...

It’s good that’s shes feeding plenty from you. Does she have any follow up appointments now that she has been discharged?
