Anyone else found the 4m+ ones are all really watery?? Used them with DC1 a few years ago and they were great, but now with DC2 they are so watery they make a royal mess. Any better purees out there that come in a pouch? I honestly am so disappointed.

I used make batch food for my babies packet stuff is so over priced and not the best tbh

I don't have the cooking facilities to make my own unfortunately (or the time). He does have some home stuff, like mashed carrots and potato when we are having that for dinner, and mashed banana. Have to rely on pouches a lot at the mo, he is having some 7m+ which he likes but struggles with the lumps sometimes (he's nearly 8m) so try to use a mixture of the two. Just really surprised how bad they are Shock used to use them sometimes with my daughter and the consistency was much better and thicker back then

How do you cook carrots and potatoes with. I cooking facilities ?

Could you mix the pouch stuff with a little baby rice to thicken it up? I might try that myself actually...

Sorry, I do have some cooking facilities but only 2hobs and a mini fridge (no freezer) for family of 4 so cant do bulk loads of anything

I'd skip the 4m+ mixes altogether, if he's had mashed carrot & potato then use 6m+ pouches.

Are you able to buy a steamer - I find it quicker to steam veg than boil on the hob. Keeps the veg nutrients too. Then can steam all sorts of veg and mash it with a fork. You're then in control as to it's consistency as can add a bit of baby/your milk or water to it. So much cheaper than the pouches, especially if cooking veg for the family anyway.
