Are BF babies more difficult to wean than FF?

My BF baby really doesn't seem that interested in solids, just 6 months. Loves fruit but most veg is greated with a closed mouth. Not sure how I will get spag bol in her by the end of the month.

Some people tell me that BF babies are used to varied tastes so that they accept solids more readily. Doesn't seem the case for me.

I would like her to take more solids and less BM - a bit selfish I know but I'm shattered. She is 91st percentile in height and weight and really doesn't need all the calories of milk...

My nephew at the same age (a month older) was eating vast quantities he is FF. She eats 3 small ice cubes if fruit and about 1-2 cubes if veg.

At 6 months they don't eat lots of food, bf or ff babies. It's unrealistic to expect a 6 month old to eat more food and less milk. Milk is their main source of calories for a long time. At that age they are just trying out new tastes and textures rather than to fill their tummies and milk has more calories than food as well. Personally I'm going to BLW and then it's not an issue trying to make them eat, they just eat what they want which is much better imo.

Both my DC where BF. DS ate vast quatities of everything offered from Day 1 of Weaning. DD, well, let's just say she is a bit more particular in her tastes . They both had BF about 7/8 times a day as well until 10.5 mths.

I think thats pretty normal (and quite good) for a 6 month old. don't worry about the spag bol. If you do try it get the camera out - there is a lot of comedy value in any young child eating spag bol, but there is no need for her to be eating it. Sympathies about the being shattered - I have a 6 month old who is also 91st centile - I am soooo with you on the wanting to be a fully functioning human being again, particularly as I am also trying to keep up with my 3 year old. However, I think all you can do is go with the flow.
