Can my DD have tinned soup?

My DD is 10 months old and really loves soup when she gets it at nursery. I dont always have time to make homemade though. Dont all judge me but are there any tinned soups she could have?

Only ones specifically for babies. The salt content in adult ones would be too high.

just check the salt content. dd had tinned soup and garlic bread form about 7 months. do you have a farm shop you can get some nice soups that are homemade without the hassel of doing it urself. but again just check the salt content

Just to add, in case you weren't aware of limits, that up to 1 year babies should have no more than 1g of salt per day. Bear in mind that both breast milk and formula contain some salt, so will use up some of this limit, and things like bread also contain a fair bit.

Personally, I'd go for something organic & healthy. Check the salt content though, a lot of grown up soups have a lot of salt in them. What about the New Covent Garden Soup Co? They only put ingredients in that you'd find at home.
However, if you're preparing food for her, it really isn't much bother to make a soup. Even if you buy a ready prepared mixed bag of veg, chuck it in a pan with water, add some mixed dried herbs & a bit of olive oil, cook then blitz; you can then freeze it in little portions. I used to spend a couple of hours once a week making & freezing my dds food, at least I knew what she was getting. Another tip is to add some of those soft, semi-dried apricots to the pan when cooking veg. Once pureed, it adds a bit of sweetness to it & they are packed with iron & vit C.

Yeah it was the salt content that I was worried about. Covent Garden ones are a good idea, didnt think your bog standard Heinz would be good idea
