Spoon refuser

DD (10 months) has never been particularly passive during the weaning process, generally preferring to feed herself but willing to accept being spoon fed for most meals and then very happy to play and smush finger foods. Lately there are 2 foods she will sometimes, begrudgingly, allow me to feed her - yoghurt and weetabix.

I'm happy to move to a more blw style and tear my hair out at the mess and time it takes but she isn't able to eat anywhere near enough as when I spoon feed her, often gets bored after 10 mins and prefers to lean over the side of her chair marvelling at the different splat sounds she can make.

The problem I have is that she is definitely getting less calories and seems to be wanting more milk as a result, it feels a bit counterintuitive to start increasing feeds at this late stage. Does anyone have any advice?

Either carry on spoon feeding her, or allow her to self feed and accept it might mean a bit more milk until she's more efficient at feeding herself. It won't take that long, especially as she's an older baby and presumably better with her hands than when she was younger.
