yellow face - too many carrots/pumpkins?

Hiya,

OK, I'm probably sounding paranoid but if I can't ask here where can I ask. Everyone seems quite helpful.

Anyways, someone commented that my LO's face was quite yellow/orange. She said, does she have a lot of carrots and/or pumpkin, like everyday. And actually, I have been giving my LO carrots everyday for finger food and/or pumpkin mixed in with green veggies.

Her face colour doesn't really look any different to me.

Has anyone heard of this? common? and will it go away? and do I need to reduce a bit of carrot/pumpkin from the diet?

Thanks all!

Hiya. A friend of mine was asked by her HV at clinic one day whether her daughter eat a lot of carrots. She did eat a lot of a carrots and apparently the end of her nose had gone slightly orange! Don't think its anything unusual or worrying, but maybe a bit more variety would be better.

LOL!! yes , have had the orange faced babies too !! less carroty stuff ! it will fade pretty quick....

Yes absolutely!! My dd had this with her nose as I gave her dinners twice a day from 7-9 months, it does go away very quickly if you tone down the veg intake.

LOL my sisters both had this on their student diets [think to busy drinking to eat properly] but it was their hands that changed colour! One ate Heinz tom soup every day and the other a ton of carrots!

Oh dear! Ive been eating lots of raw carrots this week.
Am I going to be Tango'd?

This can also happen from feeding baby food out of jars.
