Just looking for some advice on BLW please. Having already weaned DS1 (now aged 2 and a good eater) I'm faced with 6mo DS2 who is a determinedly different little chap!
DS1 was lazy (still is!). We tried starting with BLW but he couldn't be bothered, so we spent time with purees and mashed up stuff until he got to the idea of liking food, and then he started picking things up for himself. DS2 is great at picking things up and gumming them, but won't let a spoon near him (unless it has fruit puree on it). My question is how long it takes a BLW baby to learn to swallow anything? Everything that goes into DS2's mouth comes back out again (with interest if it gets too far back, he's got a great gag reflex! ) DS1 took just a few days of puree to learn to swallow, but DS2 has shown no signs of it in 2 weeks of BLW. I'm not in any hurry, and clearly DS2 isn't either, we're just moving along at his pace. I just wondered what people's experiences had been. Thanks!
