Non slippery finger foods?!

What non slippery finger foods can anyone recommend please?

DS is 6m, started him with purees a couple of weeks ago as HV said no BLW before 6m but am now trying to move across to a more BLW approach.

However-all the foods I've tried (carrot sticks, mango, pear) shoot out of his slippy little hands and I end up with a very very angry baby! Broccoli at least stayed in his hand but he was not impressed with the texture of the floret at the top.

Toast was fine this morning but wondering what others would recommend please?

Stuff like pear give to him with the skin on, it's not slippery then

Scrambled egg always went down well here, not especially a finger food but easy to pick up and grab. Strips of omelette work too.
Courgette muffins, cucumber sticks with peel still on, peppers, cauliflower, parsnip, cooked pasta.
They do drop most at first tbh but he'll soon get the hang of keeping hold of it.

You can put slippery things in a mesh or silicone feeder. It gives them a handle to hold onto and no chance of choking. It also still teaches them to chew before they swallow which is one of the most important principles of now.

Non slippery ideas, roasted veg (sweet potato, parsnip etc) are less slippery than steamed or boiled.

You can get a crinkle cutter to make the slices of food easier to grip

Cucumber. Polenta chips. Rice cakes.( Polenta chips are so easy, they just sound like faffing, but not, they're really useful to keep in fridge til needed them 30mins in oven).

Sausage cut lengthways. Yorkshire pudding. Strips of meat. Sweet potato wedges. Blueberry pancakes.

Don't even need a crinkle cutter. When you're doing apple or mango or what ever, cut in random jagged shapes so they're easier to keep hold of.
