What do you feed your 11 month old when you're out?

My dd is 11 months and I usually give her home made food, she has never been keen on jars but likes ellas kitchen fruit pouches, when we're out I tend to give her one of those because I don't know what else to give her. I do sometimes bring a banana and mash it. She loves bread and butter, cheese, yoghurt, pieces of meat but as I tend to make dinners I don't know if this would fill her. Do you take your home made stuff in a thermos flask?

Lovely, thanks all. My dd is a pretty good eater and she eats a lot of what has been suggested but as snacks alongside her dinners. Will bring more stuff with me now

Think it depends how many teeth as well as to what they eat if you haven't done blw from the beginning ( I haven't ). We have no teeth at 11m as well so we are a bit limited at times! I sort of half blitz our normal dinners e.g the mince then just mash the potatoes and veg. Boots do a great baby organic pasta too that is very small and cooks in 9 minutes so that in a veg and tomato sauce seems to go down well at lunch time as well. If all else fails or it's a fussy day I keep an Ella's kitchen dinner plug in the bag and just heat it up ;)

Bloody hell. I have a 10 month old, granted he's 8 months corrected and I would just take a jar/pouch.

I don't think I could cope with him self feeding in a cafe. The mess! Surely I'm not the only one? To be fair he has only just starting putting food in his mouth so maybe he will get better at it...

Most restaurants or cafes also you can order a small side dish suitable. Ok the park and chips may not have been great, but I would have ordered a side of vegetables or a fish starter or similar. Given a chip and a small bit of pork to sample.

Depends on the child. DS would eat a sandwich himself at that age with little mess (now he's nearly 2 he actually makes more mess eating then he did then!) I'd take some cut up fruit, cheese, little sandwich etc or share what I had if it was not too messy and easy to eat. Crackers are always good.

When we're out I usually order things specifically that I know he likes and then share E.g tuna melt or beans on toast (instead of what I would have gone for if I'd been alone!). Increasingly now though he eats so much I almost need to order another thing too otherwise I miss out!

I'll pack DS a sandwich, some organix carrot puffs or similar, raisins, an Ella's pouch of fruit, maybe a rice cake. Cucumber but he's recently decided he hates it.

We've been away this weekend and he's cutting molars so have used a lot of food as distraction Blush meaning he's often finished his lunch before our orders have arrived so then he's had some of mine too 😄

Just realised he's 11 months today!! He's cutting teeth 9&10 - having lots of teeth really helps with weaning IME (who could have guessed?? 😄)
