The definitive guide to freezing and re-heating puree

I'm on my third baby and haven't a clue - with dd1 I used to make fresh every day (those were the days) and with dd2 she chose to do BLW. Ds isn't ready for BLW yet but is looking for food so I'm doing the puree thing and making fresh each day just isn't working. So, how do I freeze it? Do I need to thaw it or can I re-heat directly from frozen? I don't have a microwave. TIA!

hi i make all the puree for the baby since
weaning routine as follow

i cook in BIG batches its easier , saves u time and you are right doing fresh each day is too laborious. I also use frozen organic stuff too eg spinach, vegetable mixes etc

Make food up, puree it, pour/spoon into sterilised ice cube tray and freeze then when frozen pop all the cubes into a bag and label them

when serving up - i take the cubes i need (this will vary according to ur baby appetite)out of freezer the night before and pop the frozen cubes into avent bottle and heat up in milk warmer or a jug of boiled kettle water. i do not have a microwave either

you can heat from frozen but can NOT reheat previously warmed food - causes bacteria growth and other nastiness

hope all goes well.
