Thank you for any help, I cant seem to find an answer to this particular question.

A bit of backround..
My baby is 8 months, eating well now after a slow start on solids at 6 months, but still sometimes fussy/not interested in eating. Ive always breastfed on demand, and she has always refused a bottle, but can drink from a sippy cup or open cup

Im now reducing breastfeeding to twice a day, and night feeds 1-2 times- Im fed up with being so tied to her and shes accepted the change pretty easily the last couple of days. I also think she may eat better if Im not so generous with breastfeeding a million times a day..

My question is, at her age and if eating solids well, is 2 breastfeeds a day enough milk or do I still need to top her up with formula?
If so how much formula do I need to aim for?
Shes drinking the formula from the sippy-cup instead of water, but not seeming to get through very much.
Do I need to offer water as well separately?
If I am able to reduce the night feeds in future will she be missing out more? I forget to count these as nutrition and think of them as convenience for making her sleep..

Thankyou for reading all that!

Ooh I am wondering EXACTLY the same thing! Sorry no help but my lo is 8 months EBF but takes water from a cup, down to an 1130 and 330 feed in the day, fed before bed then once overnight, once very early am (anywhere from 330 to 530)

Planning on encouraging him to drop night feeds but not sure if he still needs this for his total intake, confused!!

Hope someone helpful comes along and lets us both know! X
