Dd is allergic to soya and milk so yoghurts etc are a no go, just wanting opinions on her 3 meals as to whether it's enough or I should offer a more substantial lunch?

B - baby muesli/weetabix/ready Brek made with her formula
L - fruit purée pot
D - homemade meal - cottage pie/pasta bolognese/fish & sweet potato etc

I'm unsure whether fruit is enough or whether I should offer another proper meal?

She's not good with finger foods

In what way is she not good with finger food? It does take a while for them to master getting much in their mouths. I'd keep offering something finger food esque every meal just for her to practice on. Brocolli is great as are green beans. I buy both frozen so I can just boil one or two pieces with no wastage. You could offer these after her normal meals just as a skills exercise rather than nourishment.
Once she's got the hang of it then the world's your oyster (or rather her toast finger with cashew butter!)

She picks them up but doesn't put them to her mouth then looks very confused!!

I would offer finger food along side too. She's never gonna learn what to do with them if you don't give her the chance Smile omelette is good to cut into strips for finger food and you can cram it with grated veg too. Remember that at this point they're getting their nutritional needs met by the milk, so this part is about learning about food. Let her explore, let her get messy, let her have fun. She'll soon learn that it tastes good too Grin

It's sounds fine at the moment. Mine is 8 months and has her main meal at lunchtime but tea is always just light. She's only been on 3 meals for about a month. Milk is still the most important thing. I would offer finger foods too even if she just plays with them for now, it's good for them to feed themselves as much as possible and really helps with coordination!

With lunch I would offer some finger food with the fruit. Even though most of it will end up everywhere it's just giving her the chance to improve her aim. It's surprising what they can gum once they get the hang of it.
