What do you do with the lumps?

If when you've pureed it's a bit lumpy and you can't get all the little lumps out, is that dangerous for little ones? How do you get it so that it's completely smooth and unlumpy ? DO you use a sieve? Does it matter depending on age?

Also, what do you sterilise?
Sorry, if all asked before

If they're very small, they'll probably be fine. If they're too big, the baby will usually start to gag before he gets as far as choking on them, so you will have a good idea of whether or not he can manage. Don't use a sieve - it takes ages!!! Get one of the handheld blenders - mine is a bosch one, I think, and it purees very well. I didn't bother sterilising anything and none of my antenatal class did either, as far as I am aware...

What age is your baby ? If he or she is older 6mths then it should be ok, try them and they will let you know if it is not ok by spitting it out.

Once DS reached 6 months I didn't sterilise any cooking or storing implements, his favourite hobby is eating dirt from the buggy wheels fgs.
