Getting nowhere

So we progressed from pureed veg and fruit onto some semi puree veg with chicken. We then went onto pasta with cheese/tomato sauce and chicken. DS loved all the latter foods when we started him with it.

Now he wont eat the pasta, wont eat peas. I end up trying him with it just in case and getting stressed because he wont take more than a few spoons. I then resort back to the okld faithfuls of just veg.

Anyone got any helpful suggestions on what we can do? He's not adverse to lumpier foods so I dont get it.

Ive been and bought several sachets of different foods this morning (I usually make my own) and I dont know what to do. DS is 6 and a half months.

It's not a bad amount is it? The solids. DD1 pushed away the spoon and would have nothing. DD2 is 23wo and has progressed from spitting the food out to now a very angry face whenever I hover the spoon in front of her. Try not to stress really. Neither of mine, so far for DD2, has eaten a single spoonful of food.

babies weaned totally on finger food do just fine. At least it's the case for my DD1

Sounds fine to me. Mine were on three feeds a day (when I switched to formula this would have been about 18oz) and a few spoonfuls. Stop offering him the things he'll eat, just offer what you have. If he's hungry he'll eat it. I think he's a bit young for likes and dislikes.

I am armed with sachets and will be making up some sweet potato puree blend and chips for him to munch on.

Success! For tonight anyway! Almost a whole sachet of C&G chicken, broccolli and rice followed by a yoghurt and whilst we had our tea he munched on some potatoes! Yipee! I felt so much more relaxed so thankyou everyone!

At six and a half months I was just starting to offer solids. I started stressing about 10-11 months that he wasn't eating enough but he's 13 months now and eating really well. Try not to worry!
