hello.dd2 is 10 months old and recently started eating 'normal' food(as opposed to baby/pureed food).trouble is,she does eat some, but throws alot of it on the floor.i know this is quite normal from what i can remember from my other 3 children, but im sure they didnt start throwing food untill theyd been chomping away for at least5-10 minutes.plus dd2 is a small baby compared to what the others were like, and has never had a big appetite.she only has 2 6oz bottles a day(though i give her yoghurts ,cheese etc)so im worried shes not eating enough....can anyone help?

you just guess.

ds has always been tricky in the eating dept and I did used to worry about it, but I now mostly accept that he eats very little on some days (even though I do resort to bribery/blackmail sometimes, I never push it too hard). it's a good idea to give the less popular foods at lunch time so if she is still hungry she can ask for more later. but other than that I don't trhink there's a lot you can do.

think it's ok as long as baby is healthy and growing. Ask your hv if you're worried hun.

hope you get some more replies

Ds is awful at eating. It doesn't go on the floor - it goes in his mouth and then gets spat into his bib. He is 20 months. I assume some of it gets swallowed, because he is grumpy before the meal and happy afterwards! But it does look like most of his meal is in his bib. And I have no clue what I'm going to do about this if he doesn't grow out of it soon!

dd2 is clearly hungry before she eats and seems content afterwards...even though she doesnt seem to eat anything.she is growing and healthy, though i have only had her weighed about 5 times since she was born
