BLW - hit a brick wall

Hi guys

BLW has been going really fab for the last 4 weeks, but suddenly Alfie only wants sweet stuff. He just plays with veggies and throws them on the floor. He hardly eats anything and still has the same amount of milk as pre weaning. Has anyone else had this??

Thanks!

my dd did the same thing for a while, totally went off broccoli etc for a couple of weeks. we then went to my friend's house for tea and the sight of her two wee girls eating it (plus dd's inherited 'show-offy' gene) encouraged her to try it again.

my feelings on the subject are that we get a bit of a free pass for a while when they go 'oh, this is new, so is this, yum, what's this like etc etc', and then they start to express a preference for the things they like (or at least distaste for the things they don't). and then they forget what they like and don't like and start eating it again. hope so anyway...

He's 29 weeks.

Aitch, I had wondered about that. He started off on veggies and loved them but now he's had much yummier things (in his opinion) like fruit, pasta, bread etc.

It's so disheartening when you peel, chop and steam veg just for him to chuck it all away!

try not to give a flying f* about it, blackalice, they can smell disheartened parents and it spurs them on... have a look at the allergies essay on the blog. it's written by a friend of mine and she cooks all her veggies in a oner then freezes them and dunks them in boilign water when she needs them.

LOL Aitch

I'll try the freezer thing, thanks.

I wouldn't mind so much if he'd only sleep at night... And I have PMT...

Mind you, my parents are taking him to safari park tomorrow so me and hubby can go for a nice quiet lunch as it's hubby's birthday

oooh, have a lovely time. (by the way you might want to look for a thread i posted here saying something like 'help me oh dear god help me...' when dd stopped sleeping. it was a stage, thank god, but a particularly grim one. i got lots of good advice).
