Unsalted butter

I just wanted to know the general consensus on this. I have always given my son unsalted butter but have run out, the local shop doesn't sell it. I can give him my butter for the time being and that's fine, but do you still give your children unsalted on toast, in cooking etc? And to what age?

I have virtually given up on keeping both whole and semi skimmed milk in and just use whole myself now!

We all use unsalted butter and whole milk here too! Do miss my salted butter though.

I don't mind the whole milk, but unsalted butter is grim isn't it?

I don't think I ever used unsalted butter

english butter is mostly made from sweet cream and doesn't taste of much.other butters (big danish brand for example) are made from soured cream and actually taste ok unsalted. imo that is Wink
