Snacks - what do you give?

My DD is much more hungry now she's on the move so just wondering what you give for snacks? She's been having rice cakes and breadsticks up until now but I think she needs something with more calories. We do BLW so ideally something that isn't too messy when we are out and about (if that's even possible!). Thanks! xx

How about cheese straws? They are not to messy and easy to make. Or baby bels are not to messy.

I have just tried dd with homemade jelly at home and not to messy off a spoon. Could you make some and take in a small tub if she will sit still for a snack.

How about hummus or avocado dip to go with your rice cakes and breadsticks? Both really easy to make in big batches and freeze well in little pots which defrost by the time you want them if you take them out in the morning.

babybels, hard boiled eggs, banana or a yoghurt pouch are DD2's favourites.

Try not to give them too often, but brioche rolls are nice and soft and importantly don't make much mess in the pushchair. Also scotch pancakes.

malt loaf
banana bread
cheese sticks
cheese cubes
hummus and pitta/bread sticks
cake Grin

Interesting, I was wondering this. I sometimes give cold pasta that I've saved from meal night before or baby bels or cheese cube, cucumber sticks, eggy bread cold from day before's lunch.

I carry around a small pot of Cheerios for my DS for emergency snacks
