Enough milk for a 24 week old?

24 week old DS2 is on solids now and is having 2 bottles (7oz/200ml) and 3 breastfeeds a day. Does this sound like enough for a baby his age?

Its hard to tell. Are you letting him bf or have a bottle when he wants? Are you giving solids roughly an hour after food and only offering food once a day?

If you are worried about his milk intake you could always ring one of the bfing helplines Smile

how much food are you giving? Milk is more important than food at that age

2 meals a day now, and fed pretty much on a schedule as I'm going to work and he has to fit round everyone else's routine. Breastfeeds in the early morning between around 5 and 7am, breakfast (porridge and fruit puree, maybe a tablespoon of each) at 8am, bottle around 10-10.30, lunch at 11.30 (about half a jar size), bottle around 2pm and sometimes some yoghurt or a rusk to keep him going til I get back at 4/4.30pm. He breastfeeds well when I get back from work and before bedtime.

So that's 3 meals a day? Could you cut out the yoghurt or rusk and get the care giver to offer more milk instead?
