9 month old not interested in milk

Feeding has always been a bit of a struggle for my 9mo (premature, tube fed, tongue tie etc etc) but thankfully he's doing pretty well with solids.

My concern is that now he's reasonably well established on solids he just doesn't want any milk. Today for instance he had about 80ml first thing and 150ml before bed- nothing during the day even though I offered it several times. I'm trying to get as much dairy into his meals as possible but worried that he's not even getting half of the 500mls of formula a day that he should be having. Do I need to give vitamin supplements? Any suggestions?

Are you always offering milk when he is hungry i.e. before any solids are offered?

No not always, I tend to space out bottles between solids usually. Even when he must be hungry- ie first thing in the morning when it's been 6hrs plus since his last feed he still only takes 70-80 mls.
Is that what I should be doing then- offering milk first?

Yes. If he's taking solids well and is reluctant to take milk then offer the milk first so he has an incentive to take it.

If he was doing well with milk and struggling with solids, you'd offer the solids first and then the milk.

You can also try mixing his formula with his breakfast/pudding (in a bowl, not in the bottle obviously). Porridge/weetabix with formula instead of milk, mix a Rusk with formula, or some fruit etc.
