Drinking water - what is best to use?

As above really ... Our DS is nearly 9 months old and we give him tap water and boil it but not sure if this clears it of limescale and we live in a hard water area so everything is really scaled up! We thought of using bottled mineral water but read that the sodium/mineral content might be too high for babies (it isn't listed on the bottle). We then thought of using a filter jug but don't have a big enough fridge to fit it in!
Any ideas much appreciated :)
Thanks.

Just out of the tap's fine if you live in a country where tap water's drinkable.

Thanks Hakluyt, we are in the UK but just have very hard water so don't like using it!

I don't think hard water is bad for you though?

I thought hard water was good for your teeth and bones?

I know that living in a soft water area is one of the reasons they reckon Glasgow children have such appalling teeth (on average). Well, that and the sweeties...

Hard water's fine to drink.

LOL Sleepyhead!! Thanks for the replies everyone, very helpful. It's strange as sometimes our water tastes awful and other times it's ok

I love the taste of hard water (but not bits of limescale in tea). Living in a soft water area, I can always taste the bleach Sad
