Started letting baby play with food 2 days ago. Not really bothered by purees or BLW, am happy to just let her have things her way and a mixture of the two really. Put some baby porridge on a spoon and she took it off me and fed herself which was quite cute.
So, question... I've read up on freezing food and then defrosting but what I'm not sure on is whether food needs heating if it is defrosted to kill bugs or anything? I can't find any answers on google, it just coming up with how to defrost and that's not what I'm asking. With adult food we heat to kill bacteria etc, do I need to do that for baby once it has defrosted (and then obviously leave to cool) or just warm slightly so it is nicer to eat? Are the rules different depending on the food (fruit, veg etc)?
Thanks
