can I give my 7mo salmon?

We started on purees at 6mo, and she just loves food! I've been giving her cereal, yoghurts, pureed fruit & veg and little bits of whole soft fruit etc. I'm now about to start incorporating meat and fish, but all the recipes I have are for cod, haddock etc. Is there any reason I can't give her salmon, eg in a fish pie type mix but pureed? Thanks.

Just check for bones.

It is a very good food for babies.

My ds loves salmon. Also tuna fish in a can (in water) goes down well.

Salmon, fish cakes, haddock, cod, all loved by my DTs. Also scallops, prawns, mussels and squid (my DTD who is pretty adventurous) try it all!

The nappies are less pleasant!!

DD would eat salmon for every meal if we gave her it! She's always loved it but we've kept it as a treat because of the highish sodium content.

Salmon goes down really well with my DS too! Annabel Karmel has some lovely salmon recipes if you Google them

Definitely. DS1 and 2 both love salmon. And tinned tuna and tinned mackerel. We're big fish eaters so it's just as well! They like white fish too - but there is a risk that DS2 is allergic to prawns, something we're on the list to have tested (in the meantime we're not having them, just in case. It might be scallops though, we'll find out when he's tested)
