straight from the jar?

This is probably a stupid question but something i've been wondering about! I plan to make some of my own baby food but also give jars from time to time for convenience ( and so dd doesn't become too fussy!) if you're out, it would be easier just to spoon the food straight out of the jar to avoid having to take bowls - is this ok? Does baby food have to be warmed or can it be given at room temperature?

it can be given at room temperature and, IME, it is best to get them used to it so you don't have to heat it up when you are out

Room temp straight from the jar was and is often fine by ds...and he is used to 'home made' and warmed up in a bowl...

Room temp is fine,if you eat out some places will warm it for you

I always just gave it straight from the jar - even at home - figured once they got used to room temp then it was much easier on me.

Not in my house - not since the glass in baby food blackmail incident (late 80s/early 90s I think). I know it was a long time ago etc...but I think it is always worth checking for foreign bodies in a proper bowl (even my home prepped stuff I add).
