I cant think of what meats to give my 8 month old, mince is so hard to get small, chicken is rather stringy. .I dont have a blender cause it broke

Maybe fish would be a little easier? Salmon, cod etc?

I'm just about to intro meat myself but the hand blenders ok here atm!

I used to stew beef for hours and shred with 2 forks, if you stew shin of beef for 4 hours it literally falls apart and tastes lovely. Lamb also stews well, I used to do neck of lamb and shred, it doesn't take so long, an hour and a half would do. Add root veggies for the last hour to cook til really soft. Both dcs ate lots of stew and still like it, only not shredded, many years later.

Could you give a strip of meat as finger food?
Mine loved a good chew on a strip if beef, lamb and chicken drumstick.
It gets left as a very unappetising grey strip. Worth a go.

I got a great Cookworks hand blender from Argos which was only 7 or 8 quid and on the lowest setting blends/mashes food perfectly for my 7 month DD. Still has a lumpy texture but saves the faff of trying to mash meat and other tougher foods. I highly recommend it.

Sounds weird but you can grate cooked meat. I used to use the really small holes on the grater and it worked a treat. If you've got mince in a sauce like bolognaise I just whizzed it all in the blender that made it small enough.
