5 month feeding routines? (starting weaning)

Hello! My LO is almost 5 months and I'm getting ready to start weaning. The bit I'm struggling with is ensuring that I'm introducing foods at a time of day which suits my LO and me! Our general routine at the mo:

715 feed
9am - 10am sleep
1045 feed
12 - 2pm sleep
2.30 feed
4 - 430 sleep
6pm feed (split feed part 1!)
645pm feeed (split feed part 2!)
7pm bed
10.30pm feed

He's not a very hungry baby so I'm also not sure whether to start introducing purees (that's what we're planning to start with) inbetween feeds or as part of feeds.

All advice, experiences, and any routines you have SO much appreciated!! Thank yoU!

I'm at a similar point and have introduced some puree with the 2nd feed - this means ds isn't starving so is calm enough to try and that he can process the food during the day. Mine is a very hungry baby and happily takes 30g of puree and a 8oz bottle so I think it's fine to do them together -maybe you will need to give the bottle first so he gets it all and then as much puree as he wants.

I've stuck to veg so far as we grow our own - Swede and carrot has been quite gentle for him with potatoes a bit harder.

Thank you! Which way round did you do the milk/puree feeding? I'm concerned that if he's just eaten he won't be interested in the slightest in the food! At the 1045am feed he's never ravenous so I was wondering about starting with the puree first? Also, have you thought about dropping the dream feed at 10.30pm? I'm not sure whether to try dropping if before weaning or wait until weaning is in full flow! Thank you again.

I give puree first but, only enough so o know he will finish his bottle - I started just giving a teaspoon full and built up to 2 ice cubes (30g).

Mine still takes a middle of the night feed most nights so I'm hoping that will go but I'll follow his lead. In your situation I think I'd get 1 meal established and then gradually reduce the dream feed.

Current NHS advice is to give solids about 1 hour after a milk feed. That way they aren't really hungry and wanting milk, but neither are they so full they aren't interested,

Thank you both, much appreciated!
