Stain removal whilst weaning

Hi,
Can anyone offer any advice on how to remove carrot etc stains from bibs and clothes whilst weaning please? All dd's bibs seems to have horrid stains that 60 degree washes just don't get out. Will vanish in with the wash, or soaking overnight do the trick?
Thank you :)

Hi. No useful tips sorry but wanted to say that this has been a real gripe of mine the last few months, especially tomato based sauces Angry !!! I have tried evrything to get them out with no success, including vanish which I nomally find great. My mum told me she had the same problem so ended up only feeding my little brother pale food which meant years went by before he would eat anything that wasn't white Blush ! I just strip my daughter to her vest if it's a particularly messy meal :-) x

Soak in napisan (from Sainsbury's or boots in baby section) in cold water overnight, then wash as normal. Amazing stuff!

Don't wash as hot - it cooks the stains in.
Don't stress too much about stains in bibs.
Wash at 30 with bio powder, and then hang outside for 12 hours.

Thanks everyone. Tried two different supermarkets for napisan to no avail. Found one that sells it so going to buy it tomorrow. Bought some vanish soap and will try that in the meantime.
I'm actually looking forward to trying out the napisan. Clearly some having dd I need to get out more SmileSmile lol

Cold prewash before the cycle and just wait until Spring. The sunshine will do wonders!

Rub some washing up liquid and some water into the stain before washing with bio powder

Pricey, but worth every penny.

No more ruined clothes

Ikea do a pair of long sleeved bibs quite cheaply.
Cover everything and wash easily. Mine are only second child now

solitudehappiness · 14/12/2013 21:23

ToddleWaddle I bought a pair of the long sleeved bibs last week. They're great value for money and either wipe clean or can be put in the washing machine.

With DS2 I bought him a load of white long sleeved tops and dyed them different colours. Red for carrots and tomato sauce, navy for banana etc. The long sleeved bibs sound like a better idea though.
